If you are familiar with the Ocean Drive section, you have probably seen the "horseshoe" — the area at the end of Main Street between the Spanish Galleon and the OD Pavilion. In the past, this area was little more than a dirt lot that served as parking space, beach access, and a place for special events and live music. During the past off-seaon, the city has been hard at work updating and renovating this area into an attractive multi-purpose town center with new landscaping, pavestones, permanent stage and other features. The work is almost complete, and will be ready for vacation season. Don't forget to stop by the horseshoe for one of Main Street's annual festivals or the weekly live concerts that are scheduled during the summer months.
