Millions of vacationers come out to the Grand Strand every year to relax on the beach, enjoy the warm weather, play in the surf, and get a taste of our authentic Southern seafood. Many of these folks are content to just hang out at their resort for their whole vacation. This is a great way to vacation and North Myrtle Beach certainly has the resorts where this is possible. But for those that want to get out and experience all the outdoor fun this beach town has to offer, we recommend a few outdoor activities that will create lasting memories.

Watersports are very popular with tourists and locals alike because North Myrtle Beach is situated in a unique area where ocean, waterway, and tidal channels all meet. This special placement presents plenty of opportunities to play on the water. Parasailing is a fun way to combine a boat and a parachute into a watersport that gives you a birds-eye view of the beach while allowing you to float high above the ocean. You can rent jet skis, kayaks, paddleboards, and even boats to explore the water ways and certain parts of the ocean. Take a jet-ski dolphin tour and get up close with these docile creatures as they cruise around. For those that just want to ride in a boat and enjoy the beautiful South Carolina scenery, short cruises and dolphin adventures are available. Deep sea fishing is another exciting activity that you’ll remember forever.

The spring and summer weather in North Myrtle Beach is perfect for golfing. There are many courses in the area ranging small to expansive, and budget-friendly to more luxurious. Take a spring or fall golf trip with your buddies, or make a few rounds of golf part of your family vacation. When multiple families vacation together, sometimes the ladies will take a shopping trip while the men hit the links. Golfing is a great way to enjoy the outdoors with a little competitive action!

There is so much more to your North Myrtle Beach vacation than just the beach, your condo, and restaurants. Spend your time outdoors and go explore some of the area’s outside attractions! Alligator AdventureMyrtle Waves Water Park, NASCAR Speedpark, and tons of mini golf courses offer hours of entertainment. Take a stroll around Broadway at the Beach or Barefoot Landing for a shopping and dining experience on a whole new level. There’s also ropes courses, zip lines, ATV tours, scuba diving, horseback riding, and outdoor live music to keep your family busy every day.

You may be tempted to stay in your incredible Ocean Drive Beach Rentals condo or private home all week, but don’t spend your whole vacation indoors! Ask us for tips and suggestions on activities when you check in for your vacation, and have fun!
